Zerust^® Axxanol^™ 33 is an easy-to-use oil-based corrosion preventative coating that is widely used as a replacement for standard oil in dipping applications. Axxanol 33 provides powerful corrosion protection against aggressive environments (salt air, high temperatures, etc.) for ferrous and some non-ferrous metals including iron, steel, aluminum, zinc, copper and solder for up to six months under shelter.

Typical Axxanol 33 applications include corrosion protection for in-line rolling mill applications, cold rolled sheet and coils, wire bar, and cast & machined ferrous and non-ferrous metals during shipment and storage. Use Axxanol 33 in conjunction with Zerust Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) packaging for a more robust solution that provides corrosion protection for up to five years.

The Axxanol 33 protective coating is a safe, non-toxic and can be easily removed with an alkaline cleaner. Its thin coating does not interfere with torque or pull-out requirements of parts and was tested by an independent lab to be compatible with engine oil.
