Zerust^® Axxanol^™ 46-Bio is a bio-based, sprayable corrosion inhibitor preservative in the form of a light lubricant oil. It offers corrosion protection on exposed surfaces as well as crevices and recesses for iron, steel, aluminum and related alloys. It's made from renewable vegetable oil, making it less flammable when compared with conventional mineral-oil based corrosion protection compounds (CPC). 

Sprayable Cleaner Lubricant Preservative (CLP) 

This environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitor is formulated to compare in performance to MIL-PRF-3150 medium preservative oils except for its viscosity. It is a light oil with a viscosity of 46 centipoise for better flow than conventional 100 centipoise MIL-PRF-3150 oils. Axxanol 46-BIO’s light, viscous properties, optimize it for compressed-air spray application. It also compares favorably with MIL-PRF-63460 cleaner-lubricant-preservatives and light CPC grades of MIL-PRF-16173 except it is bio-based. Axxanol 46-BIO can be dip coated, brushed or wiped onto surfaces to leave a thin, transparent non-tacky film. It is ideal for applications such as cleaning and protecting equipment and machinery that is temporarily left outdoors.
